Bulgaria currently has 717 notaries for a population of 7.1 million. Our ties with our Bulgarian colleagues have strengthened since Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007.
3rd Forum of Balkan Notaries held in Sofia. The 300 attendees discussed modern technology, legal certainty and the status of notaries in the current European and global environment.
Signed a cooperation agreement with the Bulgarian notarial profession following Bulgaria’s accession to the EU on 1 January, designed to strengthen our collaboration in various fields: emerging technologies, notary training and legal exchanges.
Our very first joint training seminar took place in Sofia. The objective was to promote the notary’s role in preventing money laundering to the 40 trainers and persons in charge of the Bulgarian notarial profession.
Bulgarian notarial profession joined the European Network of Registers of Wills Association.
Met with a delegation from the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice in Paris. It provided a good opportunity to discuss the mechanisms used to control notaries, their liability, their activities and the operation of the Caisse des dépôts.
We renewed the agreement with the Bulgarian notarial profession in Sofia.
For the seventh time, we are renewing the cooperation agreement with the Bulgarian notariat at the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice in the presence of Deputy Minister. We are strengthening our cooperation, especially in the field of digitalisation.
