During Expo 2017 Astana, our President met with the Vice-Minister of Justice and the Vice-Minister of Finance for Kazakhstan. The discussions revealed the Kazakh state’s willingness to improve the notarial system.
Organised a Forum on “Sustainable Development for Notaries” at the French pavilion of Expo 2017 Astana, jointly with the Kazakh notariat and the Caspienne University. The forum brought together legal experts from nine different countries, in the presence of the French Ambassador.
A cooperation agreement was signed with the Republican Chamber of Notaries of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the aim of supporting the development of the Kazakh notarial profession.
The first French-Kazakh seminar was held in Almaty on ‘Real Estate Transactions: Probative Value and Enforceability of Notarial Deeds.’ A political delegation from Kazakhstan also visited Paris to study the Ministry of Justice’s oversight role for the French notarial profession. The delegation visited key institutions, including the Ministry of Justice, the National Assembly, and the Senate.
We had the opportunity to meet with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan during his visit to Paris to discuss changes in the notarial profession. Following this meeting, we organized the very first training session for Kazakh notaries in the Kazakh capital.
During a visit to Astana, we renewed our cooperation agreement with the notariat of Kazakhstan and met with the Minister of Justice, the President of the Constitutional Court, and several representatives of the country’s authorities to discuss the role of the notary and the supervision of their activities.
