Our ties strengthened when Poland joined the European Union and we have been implementing joint initiatives for the citizens of both countries for almost 20 years.
Signed a cooperation agreement in Warsaw, when Poland joined the European Union. Since then, around 15 Polish notaries have attended our annual training event each year and we share views on legal topics of mutual interest at seminars. Five twinning arrangements set up locally, under the agreement, between notaries of Krakow and those of the region of Bordeaux-Toulouse, of Gdansk and the Alpes-Maritimes,
of Katowice and the Charente-Maritime, of Rzeszow and the Seine-et-Marne, of Warsaw and Paris.
Organised the very first notarial information sessions for French citizens living in Poland with our Polish colleagues and the French Embassy, to provide relevant legal information.
“France-Poland notaries-experts” group set up together, to produce bilingual legal factsheets for citizens. Five factsheets have since been published: on Franco-Polish inheritances, marital property regimes in both countries, real estate transactions, the protection of vulnerable individuals and company law.
Very first notarial information sessions for Polish citizens living in France held! They were organised with the Polish Consulate in Lyon and the Polish Embassy in Paris.
We are organizing our first virtual symposium on the practice of company law and the fight against money laundering in the Franco-Polish business context; our consul and our deputy for French people living abroad intervene there.
On July, 20th 2022, we renew our cooperation agreement. Together with the National Council of Polish notaries, we will continue our exchange of best practices in the field of new technologies, as well as our legal information activities for Polish citizens in France and French citizens in Poland.
